Panel System
Where is Panel System Used?
What is panel system? Panel system; It is the name given to ready-to-assemble facade elements designed to be one story high and 2-3 axes wide. In this highly advantageous system, many raw materials other than glass and aluminum can be used within the panels. Panel systems can be designed as vertical walls and horizontal floors. Today, they are among the products widely applied in modern buildings.
Types of Panels
Areas of use for panel systems;
1 - in industrial buildings,
2 - in large-span production areas,
3 - in cladding exterior facades,
4 - panel systems are used in interior dividing vertical walls and horizontal floors.
In short, panel systems are surface elements and are used to cover large surfaces in buildings. The elements that make up panel systems can be produced from different materials, in different sizes and weights, according to their functions.
In terms of size;
1 - small panels
2 - are divided into two groups as large panels.
Small panels are used multiply to cover a voluminous surface. (blocks, narrow panels, and medium-width panels) Blocks; are small-surfaced structural elements whose dimensions are large or equal to their thickness. Panels are divided into two types according to their size: small and large panels. Small panels are not functional products and are used in multiples to cover a volume. They are divided into three types: blocks, narrow panels, and medium-width panels. The width of narrow panels can vary between 40-50 cm. The heights of medium-width panels are around the story height, and they are products with large widths but smaller than the room dimensions. In large panels; the width is equal to or greater than the room dimension. In horizontal blocks, temporary connection is not required and not made during installation. In other panels, temporary connection is required as balance is needed.
